| The supporters union
of Oudtshoorn High School |

| Who
qualifies for membership? |
old scholars, former
teachers and current teachers, former and current parents, as
well as any supporters who might feel at home in the Struisie
supporters family owing to spontaneous loyalty and a special
connection.
Very important: we regard
scholars of the former Boys High and Girls High (from the era
before 1963) as full-blooded old scholars. |

| Why
a Struisiebond (Objectives) |
| It is important
in a school like Oudtshoorn High with rich, proud traditions
to maintain a healthy and dynamic two-way channel of communication
between itself and each of its supporters, however far removed
they may be. It is equally the responsibility of a school of
such structure to serve as an interactive instrument of communication
amongst its supporters. |

| What
advantages are offered by the Struisiebond to its members? |
- One newsletter per semester (Be informed of everything
about current and former Struisies).
- One Yearbook annually (on request)
- Annual reunions are organised for certain former matric
classes (at the school)
- Old scholars are honoured on the grounds of performance.
- Special services to members, e.g. accomodation arrangements
during the KKNK

- Join by completing a registration form and paying a small
entry fee.
- Please read all the newsletters received.
- Send any news regarding yourself or former scholars or
teachers to us for publication in the
- Struisiebond newsletter, for instance. achievements/awards/abtainment
of degrees or diplomas. newsworthy projects launched, etc.
- Forward us the names of potential Strusiebond members
who have not yet been reached.
- Send us your school photos. We shall copy and return them.
- Respond to invitations for reunions, and do your utmost
to be there!
- BE AN AMBASSADOR AND SELL YOUR ALMA MATER TO THE OUTSIDE
